Ten Tunes for the Troubadour Harp

The pieces in this collction are playable on all harps, pedal and lever models alike. Although not written as technical studies, they may supplement traditional harp exercises. The beginning harpist will encounter elements peculiar to the instrument, as well as general musical symbols. In addition, the pieces are appropriate for beginners in recital or as encores on more ambitious programs.

The pieces in this collection are written in the keys of C, D & G and require lever harps to be tuned in C (all levers down). Appropriate lever settings have been clearly indicated at the beginning of each selection. Suggested fingerings have also been included. The minimum range needed to play all the pieces in this book is four octaves (first octave F to fifth octave F).

"I recommend this book to teachers who are looking for a different way to teach students basic harp technique, and for harper/harpists at the advanced beginner level looking for an alternative approach to boring excersizes... Each piece features a particular problem of harp technique and novice harper/harpists may find this book a more appealing way to master the entire gamut of basic harp technique, rather than having to suffer through some dreary, boring etude book." - The Folk Harp Journal
